April Bloomfield

On June 13th, as part of a week-long celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the original Madision Square Park Shake Shake, they will be serving for one day only a limited edition burger created by April Bloomfield called The Breslin Burger. AMERICAN ROMANTIC by Ward Just

AMERICAN ROMANTIC received a positive review in Sunday, June 8th’s edition of The New York Times Book Review. The review, Gail Godwin, praises the author as “both a writer’s writer and an astute tracker of human souls under duplicity and duress.” She also calls the book “one of his finest” and says that “it’s a good place to be introduced to his work.” Houghton Mifflin Harcourt published the book April 1, 2014.

CHRIST THE LORD by Anne Rice

A film adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel CHRIST THE LORD: Out of Egypt produced by Enzo Sisti (Passion of the Christ) and distributed by Focus Features will begin filming this September in Italy. Knopf first published the book November 1, 2005.

NORWEGIAN BY NIGHT by Derek B. Miller

Derek B. Miller’s NORWEGIAN BY NIGHT won the eDunnit Award for best crime fiction e-book, and the Goldsboro Last Laugh Award for best humorous crime novel. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt published the book on May 21, 2013.

Kiese Laymon was shortlisted for the Saroyan International Prize for Writing and the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award, for both fiction and nonfiction. He was also shortlisted for the Believer Book of the Year Award and was nominated for a Gaines Literary Award.
