Although his brave memoir won’t be published until October, you can see Alan Cumming now on Broadway in CABARET (live) and on You Tube (recorded) as the host of Book Expo America 2014’s May 31st Author Breakfast event. Dey St. will publish the hardcover October 7, 2014.

Dan Harris’ book comes in at #16 on the Los Angeles Times Hard Cover non-fiction list this week and. Additionally, it’s audio edition made it on to Audible’s BEST of 2014 (so far) list.
Manuel Gonzales is a judge for the upcoming Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award and was quoted saying, to the UK Guardian, “the [short story] form remains as challenging as ever … but when you put the short story in the hands of someone who understands its limits, who is willing to break through these limits, what you get is sublime, unsettling, emotionally fraught." Gonzales’ acclaimed book THE MINIATURE WIFE was published by Riverhead Books on January 10, 2013.

Lin Enger’s THE HIGH DIVIDE was reviewed by Booklist, which said, “This is a gripping story with well portrayed, complex, and sympathetic main characters and a complement of believable secondary figures in a vividly described region nearing the close of an era. Enger is an author worth watching.” Algonquin will publish the book on September 23, 2014.

Olivia Laing recently published a piece in the Guardian called “’Every Hour a glass of wine’-the female writers who drank” about famous female writers such as Maguerite Duras, Patricia Highsmith, and Elizabeth Bishop and their battles with alcoholism. The article was a companion piece to her acclaimed book THE TRIP TO ECHO SPRING, a book about male writers who struggled with alcoholism. The book was published by Picador on December 31, 2013.

For the week ending 6/8, Dan Harris’ book 10% HAPPIER: How I Tamed the Voice In My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, And Found Self-Help That Actually Works – A True Story is on the Boston Globe list at #10 and at #26 on the IndieBound list. IT books published the book in hardcover March 11, 2014.
