Jim Gavin’s MIDDLE MEN was named an “Outstanding 2013 Short Story Collection” by The Story Prize. Simon & Schuster published the book on February 19, 2013.

The 18th novel by Ward Just, AMERICAN ROMANTIC, received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. The review raves that “Just’s clever plot revels a man conflicted by duty and loyalty…It’s also a fascinating portrayal of American embassy operations and the treacherous shoals of international diplomacy and duplicity.” Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will publish the book on April 1st, 2014.

Jennifer Percy’s DEMON CAMP was reviewed in The New York Times Book Review, which called it “visceral, seductive” and said, “Percy’s narrative…artfully upsets a common misperception: that all veterans’ experiences of war are alike.” Scribner published the book on January 14, 2014.

Manuel Gonzales’ THE MINIATURE WIFE was named an “Outstanding 2013 Short Story Collection” by The Story Prize. Riverhead published the book on January 10, 2013.

YOU MUST REMEMBER THIS: Life and Style in Hollywood’s Golden Age was reviewed in the December 9, 2013 issue of Publishers Weekly. The review says that “With great affection and a twinkle in his eye, veteran actor Wagner recalls Hollywood’s glory days of the 1940s and early 1950s, when class, manners, friendship, and a code of values ruled the city of stars” and calls Wagner “an expert storyteller.” Viking will publish the book on March 11, 2014.

STANDUP GUY, Stuart Woods 28th Stone Barrington novel, will debut at number 4 on the New York Times Hardcover bestseller list and number 6 on the Combined Print and E-book bestseller list for the for the week of January 26, 2014. Putnam published the book on January 7, 2014.

Elliot Ackerman published an essay in The Daily Beast called “The Fourth War: My Lunch with a Jihadi,” about “breaking bread with a former adversary.” His novel GREEN ON BLUE is forthcoming from Scribner.

Tania Unsworth’s THE ONE SAFE PLACE received a starred review in Kirkus Reviews. The review calls it “a chilling and engrossing tale” and says it is “a standout in the genre’s [dystopian YA] crowded landscape.” Algonquin will publish the book April 29, 2014.
