SPEEDBOAT/PITCH DARK by Renata Adler

The AV Club named SPEEDBOAT & PITCH DARK as one of their favorite books of the year in the category of “Best Reissues” saying in their write-up “these two books are triumphs now. They are evidence of what happens when messy life meets clean white page in exquisite prose and should be lingered over, not digested in gulps just to get to THE END.” New York Review of Books republished both books on March 19, 2013.

The AV Club named THIS IS HOW YOU DIE as one of their favorite books of the year in the category of “Reviewed Favorites” saying in their write-up that “Some of the stories are funny, some are odd, and some are brilliant, but they’re all deceptively smart about exploring all the ways individuals come to terms with death.” Grand Central published the book on July 16, 2013.

The Washington Post named THE RIVER OF NO RETURN one of the 50 notable fiction books of the year calling it “an intrigue spanning centuries.” Dutton published the book April 23, 2013.

JOHNNY CASH The Life by Robert Hilburn

NPR and Publisher’s Weekly named Robert Hilburn’s, JOHNNY CASH as one of the best books of 2013. The book also received a positive review in The New York Times. The review called it “a thorough and thoughtful portrait of the Man in Black and a deep appreciation of his artistry" The review also says that "Hilburn writes most powerfully about Cash’s trajectory as an artist.” Little, Brown and Company published the book October 29, 2013.
