APPLESEED by Matt Bell is a New York Times notable release for July. They praise: "Bell’s novel — equal parts techno-thriller and science fiction — is an ambitious, time-bending take on climate change.” Custom House will publish the book on July 13, 2021.

THE OLD ENEMY by Henry Porter was lauded in Graydon Carter’s weekly newsletter, Air Mail. They write: “Anyone who has read Porter’s books knows he is a first-class thriller writer, and his latest, the third in a trilogy starring onetime M.I.6 agent Paul Samson, should bring him even more fans…For those who like their international spy thrillers shaken and stirred, THE OLD ENEMY is the ideal tonic.” Atlantic Monthly Press published the book on June 8, 2021.

Hermione Hoby sat down with Interview Magazine to discuss her new novel, VIRTUE. The magazine writes: “With the release of her second novel…Hoby is going in for the kill. The 36-year-old author might have just written the defining New York City novel of our fraught, socially anxious, and politically tumultuous times.” VIRTUE was also included in Entertainment Weekly’s July Summer Preview issue. Riverhead Books will publish the novel on July 20, 2021.

Kendra Allen was interviewed by the Dallas Morning News about her new poetry collection, THE COLLECTION PLATE. When asked what she wants readers to know about the book, Allen replied: “I’m proud of it. Which is hard for me to say. With this collection, I feel like I came to the page honestly, in a way that I probably hadn’t before.” The collection was also listed as one of Refinery29’s “38 Books You’ll Want to Read This Summer.” Ecco will publish the book on July 6, 2021.
