ALL OUR NAMES by Dinaw Mengetsu was named as one of the best books in the Literary Fiction & the “Best Novels to get your Book Group Talking” categories by Kirkus Reviews. In their original starred review, the called in “an elegiac and moving novel” and said that Mengetsu was one of the “best novelists now working in America.” The book was also named one of the year's best fiction books by Publishers Weekly.

Named one of Fortune.com’s five not-to-be-missed books, and Winner of the 2014 Living Now Book Award for Inspirational Memoir, 10% Happier also has been chosen for iBooks Best of 2014. The audio edition was also named a Audible Best of the Year in nonfiction. IT books published the book in hardcover March 11, 2014.

BOY ON ICE by John Branch was named Kirkus Reviews as one of the Best Nonfiction Books of 2014 as well as one of the Best Biographies of 2014. In addition Publishers Weekly also named the book was also named one of the best non-fiction books by Publishers Weekly. Norton published the hardcover on October 1st, 2014.

Richard Rhodes’ HELL AND GOOD COMPANY: THE SPANISH CIVIL WAR AND THE WORLD IT MADE received a starred review in Booklist, which praised the book for “so graphically allowing contemporary readers to appreciate all the nuances of what transpired in Spain in those dark years” through the eyes of reporters, writers, artists, doctors, and nurses who witnessed it. Simon & Schuster will publish the book on February 3, 2015.

DARK INVASION was named one of the Best Non-fiction books of 2014 by Kirkus Reviews. In their original starred reviewed, they called it a “terrifically engaging and pertinent tale.” HarperCollins published the book on February 11, 2014 and the paperback edition will be published in February 2015.

The Daily Beast said of Malcolm Brooks’s “beautifully written narrative,” that it “fulfills fiction’s workaday imperatives: human drama, character development, a suspenseful plot fueled by clashing world views, each granted articulate advocates by a fair, but not impartial author” which are “expertly embedded” with deeper themes. Grove Atlantic published the novel on August 5, 2014.

Booklist said of Nick Cutter’s latest thriller, “between the descriptive hallucinations and the very real threats, readers may find themselves begging for a
respite—or cheering for more of the same.” Gallery will publish the book on January 13, 2015.

THE SNOWDEN FILES was named one of the Best Non-fiction books of 2014 by Kirkus Reviews. In their original starred review they called it “A newsworthy, must-read book about what prompted Edward Snowden to blow the whistle on his former employer, the National Security Agency, and what likely awaits him for having done so.” Vintage published the book on February 7, 2014.

Scott Eyman’s biography of John Wayne was named as one of the best non-fiction books for the year 2014 by Publisher’s Weekly. In their original starred review they called the book “a compulsively readable biography.” Simon & Schuster published the book on April 1, 2014.

David Shapiro’s YOU’RE NOT MUCH USE TO ANYONE was named one of Newsweek’s Favorite Books of 2014. New Harvest published the book on July 22, 2014.
