In a conversation published to Granta’s website, Kate Zambreno discusses life in quarantine with fellow author Kathryn Scanlan. Zambreno says, “Some people have contacted me and told me that their life now . . . reminds them of the life of the narrator of [DRIFTS]” adding that “so much of DRIFTS is enthralled to dailiness and solitude, to even alienation.” Riverhead Books will publish the book on May 19, 2020.
