The German edition of THE QUESTION OF RED was awarded the LiBeraturpreis for 2016 by the Society for the Promotion of African, Asian and Latin American Literature. Both THE QUESTION OF RED and Pamuntjak’s second novel ARUNA AND HER PALATE were also shortlisted for the Khatulistiwa Award, the top literary award in Indonesia.
