Sicha’s first book, VERY RECENT HISTORY: AN ENTIRELY FACTUAL ACCOUNT OF A YEAR (c. AD 2009) IN A LARGE CITY, was published by HarperCollins on August 6, 2013.

Larry Watson’s LET HIM GO was reviewed in Star Tribune, Boswell’s, Pioneer Press, The Gazette, and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Choire Sicha’s VERY RECENT HISTORY was reviewed in The Millions, which called it “a beautifully written and carefully documented (and often very funny) book about a group of people that, to our society’s collective detriment, continues to be largely ignored, dismissed, and stereotyped.” Sicha was also interviewed in Salon, Slate, Mother Jones, The Verge, and Pacific Standard. Ramona Ausubel’s NO ONE HERE EXCEPT ALL OF US won the 2013 PEN Center USA Literary Award for Fiction. Ausubel’s second book and first short story collection, A GUIDE TO BEING BORN, was published by Riverhead on May 2, 2013.

Robert Hilburn’s biography of JOHNNY CASH was named one of the most anticipated books for the fall by New York magazine and the Seattle Times. Little, Brown will publish the book October 29, 2013.

Flavorwire recently named MY EDUCATION as a “Favorite Cultural Thing of the Week.” Judy Berman, the editor-in-chief of Flavorwire, said that MY EDUCATION: “sucked me in immediately” and that “Choi begins with a familiar setup: a precocious new grad student at a prestigious university (that is obviously Cornell) becomes infatuated with a superhumanly handsome professor notorious for his sexual exploits with students.
